Bill Everett

William Blake Everett (May 18, 1917 – February 27, 1973) was a comic book writer-artist best known for creating Namor the Sub-Mariner as well as co-creating Daredevil with writer Stan Lee for Marvel Comics. He often worked over Jack Kirby layouts for Hulk, and as an inker on Thor in the 70's. He is considered one of the founding fathers of the comic book genre. He was allegedly a descendant of the childless poet William Blake and of Richard Everett, founder of Dedham, Massachusetts.
